Our business provides a next day supply and distribution service through our nationwide network of distribution depots, serving an average of 2750 customers every day!
This is a permanent opportunity for you to join our Field Based Sales Team, covering the following area’s:-
Avon
Wiltshire
Dorset
Somerset
Isle of wight
Devon
Cornwall
What you will be doing
- To implement prescribed Sales and Marketing activities for NVS (and its business partners) to ensure;
- Increased sales and market share
- Implementation of partnership plans with relevant customers
- Increased sales of ‘own label’ products in the assigned region
- Achievement of specific account objectives (monitoring and developing remedial actions where necessary)
- The delivery of professional sales support via meetings/lunches/training where relevant
- Acceptance, loyalty and implementation of new services / products
- To develop and maintain high standards of knowledge in the UK veterinary market (both technical and commercial) through market evaluation / self-study & training
- To represent NVS as the strategic veterinary wholesaler of choice in the delivery of veterinary products, through regular practice visits, meetings and training sessions
- To sell NVSL products and services through excellent written and verbal communications / presentations
- To plan activities to maximise contact with practices showing the most potential for development of their veterinary business
- To establish customer needs for merchandising / retail area support
- To represent NVSL at meetings / Congresses as required e.g. BSAVA, VPMA, etc
- To keep abreast of trends in the veterinary profession and competitive activity. (All competitor activity should be communicated to the sales manager immediately)
- To maintain current and accurate records of all veterinary practices in the territory.
