We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research and Development Process Chemist to join our dynamic R&D team. This position is ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about chemistry and its application in animal nutrition and health. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced scientists to develop, optimise, and validate new processes and formulations to enhance the nutritional value and health benefits of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research market requirements and emerging technologies to identify new product opportunities
• Screen potential raw materials and develop lab scale prototype formulations based on research findings
• Evaluate ingredient compatibility and stability under various conditions
• Design and execute chemical processes for the development of new animal nutrition and veterinary products
• Optimise existing products and processes to improve yield, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness
• Develop analytical methods to monitor reaction progress and product quality
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure successful technology transfer
• Author technical documentation including batch records and regulatory dossiers
• Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions

Requirements:

• MS/PhD in Chemistry or related field
• Strong understanding of organic synthesis and analytical techniques
• Experience with GMP regulations and pharmacopeial standards
• Demonstrated track record of process optimisation and scale-up
• Knowledge of experimental design and statistical analysis

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in spectroscopic techniques (NMR, HPLC, GC, IR, MS and ICP-OES)
• Experience with reaction calorimetry and process safety assessment
• Understanding of chemical engineering principles
• Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory requirements in animal health and nutrition
