Ruminant Technical Services Vet (TSV) – Full Time field based post covering the Midlands & South UK
A full-time permanent post covering ruminant product support and associated services.
The main responsibility of this role is to support the existing sales team in the midlands and south UK to allow them to continue to drive the growth that we are currently generating. As more and more farms and vets are using our vaccine solutions, customer support will be an increasing lever for retention of business.

Salary: £XX,000 - £XX,000 depending on experience + quarterly variable bonus (% of fixed salary) based on annual targets.
Annual leave: 25 days per annum plus statutory holidays

MISSION
• Boost the subsidiary business by providing in field technical services within the territory as well as training and support to HIPRA’s commercial team.
• Focus on HIPRA’s preventative medicine strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPPORTING COMMERCIAL SALES TEAM
• Provide technical support and product training to the sales team. • Ensure adequate product knowledge of the commercial sales team through product and
technical training with knowledge assessment sessions. • Advise customers on product use. • Support the sales team in provision of on farm diagnostic support, advice and interpretation of
results. • Stay current in technical matters, leading the technical services provision within the territory. • Provide local market information to the TMM. • Help and contribute to the generation of marketing material and sales aids for the team. This
may include writing articles for industry magazines, providing “how to guides” in various media formats and collaborating with the other team members on specific projects.
• Managing projects and field trials under the supervision of the Technical Marketing Manager. • Manage and interact with the local key opinion leaders in coordination with the TMM. • Be aware of competitor products and positioning relative to the Hipra portfolio providing
feedback to the TMM where relevant. • Participate in the pharmacovigilance system within Hipra and undertake the full responsibility
associated with the TSV role within this system.
CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT AND SUPPORT
• Develop and carry out educational programmes for our products and services. o These will be for vets, farmers, stockmen and students
• Develop relationships with veterinary teams within big corporates to strengthen Hipra’s relationship and trust with these key customers.
• Assist and attend industry events such as trade and vet shows to promote Hipra’s products and services.
• Maintain and enhance the reputation of HIPRA as offering best on farm support and customer support to build market share of Hipra’s products and services.

• Full product training and product positioning will be provided with assistance and guidance provided by the teams in the UK and at HQ.
The candidate:
Must have:
• Eligibility to work as a Technical Services Vet in the UK. • Veterinary degree registerable with the RCVS. • Ruminant Veterinary experience. • Full clean UK driving licence. • Full valid passport. • Can-do attitude, and ability to work autonomously, proactively and show initiative ways of
problem solving. • An ability and drive to look for ways to add value rather than simply a task-based approach. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Good IT skills including experience of using CRM systems, Microsoft Word and Excel • A commercial and customer-care mindset. • A team-player approach. • Flexible approach to working hours (some early starts / late finishes are expected). • Attendance at evening and weekend meetings will be required
o E.g. conferences, internal sales meetings, and customer CPD events. • There will be many times when an overnight stay is required.
Nice to have:
• Experience of training others and/or experience of giving presentations to audiences of mixed level.
• Experience of team-working in a support role. • Belief in the value of the preventive approach in livestock farming as part of the future
sustainability of our farming industry. • Some commercial experience, or previous work in a commercial environment.
