We’re looking for a proven sales hunter with deep veterinary sector knowledge and a passion for winning new business. In this field-based sales role, you’ll focus on identifying and securing partnerships with independent veterinary practices across the UK. This position offers a competitive base salary, uncapped commission, and car allowance, and is suited for a highly motivated business developer who enjoys autonomy and thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
The ideal candidate will already have strong connections in the independent veterinary space and a solid track record of new business development. This is will suit those who love the chase, know the market, and are ready to lead from the front.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a high-impact sales strategy to target independent veterinary practices and build a quality pipeline.
Drive proactive new business development through in-practice visits (3 days per week), industry events, and self-sourced lead generation.
Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to demo, proposal, and close.
Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and customer success to ensure smooth onboarding and client satisfaction.
Position yourself as a trusted advisor to practice owners by delivering tailored solutions that speak to their commercial and clinical needs.
Use CRM tools (Pipedrive preferred) to manage activity, forecast pipeline, and track KPIs.
Report progress and insights to senior leadership regularly and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Act as the eyes and ears of the market—feeding back competitive intelligence, buyer trends, and barriers to inform wider business strategy.
Requirements
You must have a background in veterinary sales—candidates without this experience will not be considered.
In-depth understanding of the UK veterinary market, particularly independent practices.
Strong commercial instincts and a proven ability to open doors and close deals.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Self-starter mentality with a relentless drive to win and grow territory.
CRM proficiency (Pipedrive a plus) and strong organisational discipline.
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively.
