We are recruiting on behalf of our exclusive client, a global, innovative company in the animal health sector, for a Farm Product Development Specialist to help drive the success of that dairy product portfolio.
This is a unique hybrid role that blends office-based work (including remote flexibility) with regular on-farm visits. You'll work directly with farmers to assess how products perform in practical farm conditions. Your insights will be key in refining existing solutions and shaping new innovations to meet both market demands and practical on-farm needs.
While the core focus is on product development, you will also contribute to broader commercial strategies such as competitor analysis, pricing and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular farm visits to evaluate product performance and gather actionable insights
- Support the development and enhancement of dairy health products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product strategy
- Assist in shaping market placement, pricing strategy and product positioning
- Perform competitor analysis to identify opportunities and gaps
Candidate Profile:
- Experience in the dairy or wider livestock industry - particularly in sales, marketing or a commercial role
- Commercially astute, with the ability to translate on-farm insights into product improvements
- Hands-on and proactive, comfortable working directly with farmers, products and internal teams
- A confident communicator with a collaborative mindset
- Detail-oriented, strategic thinker with a passion for continuous improvement
Package:
- Salary of up to £50K DOE
- Flexible hybrid working - three days in the office per week
- Private Healthcare and Life Insurance
- Pension scheme
- Increasing annual leave based on length of service
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to transition into a more product-focused role while staying connected to the farm environment.
