Agricultural Refrigeration Engineer 

On the Road - North of England/Scottish Borders

We're recruiting on behalf of our exclusive client, a long-standing, growing business with a strong presence in its sector. They are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their field-based team, supporting customers across the Scottish Borders and the North of England. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role suited to someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and practical problem-solving.

The Role:

  • Install, service and maintain equipment on-farm
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs quickly and effectively
  • Represent the company professionally in a customer-facing role
  • Work independently while being part of a friendly, experienced team
  • Deliver all work to a high standard with attention to detail and pride in the outcome

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in engineering (electro-mechanical)
  • F-Gas certification (mandatory)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A confident, clear communicator in customer-facing environments
  • A genuine interest in agriculture or a background in the farming industry
  • Experience with refrigeration equipment is a strong advantage
  • Relevant technical qualifications in engineering or related disciplines
