Job Title:
Digital Product Manager at Datamars with Specific Responsibility for PetLink
Overview:
The Digital Product Manager will report to the Global Director of Digital for the Companion Animal Solutions division of Datamars. The main responsibilities of the Digital Product Manager include owning the strategy and vision for the PetLink digital offering, which encompasses the user experience on both the PetLink web platform and the PetLink app.
PetLink currently operates in three countries: the US, France, and Brazil. It is offered as a service delivered over the web and through call center customer service. This year, we are launching a PetLink app that will provide new, enhanced services for pet parents, including GPS and activity monitoring for their pets. Additionally, we are introducing a QR collar tag reunification service. All three of these services will be integrated into one app and one web experience.
Datamars will also launch a new brand for existing services. The Digital Product Manager will play a leading role in defining the user experience for these new services and the new brand on both web and app platforms.

As a Product Manager, you will need to understand and be passionate about the following areas:
• Business:
• As a Product Manager, you function as a business leader, focusing on optimizing the product to achieve company goals while maximizing ROI.
• Technology (Software Development and R&D):
• You must understand the technology stack and the effort required to make informed decisions.
• User Experience (UX):
• This includes not just the app/web UX, but also how our users experience our GPS and activity trackers, QR codes, and microchips. Testing the product and gathering user feedback is crucial.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Understanding the user experience in great detail from the perspective of all users (pet parents, customer service, animal shelters, vets, animal control officers).
• Managing relationships with the country leaders in the US, France, and Brazil.
• Understanding and optimizing the workflow and processes in customer support for the US, France, and Brazil, and planning how these will be rolled out in countries where PetLink is not yet present.
• Gathering requirements and working closely with our stakeholder team.
• Managing technical support priorities for PetLink.
• Documenting key features to support the user experience.
Product Development Roadmap Responsibilities:
• Conducting market research to stay updated on developments in the digital pet product consumer market and reporting these developments to internal stakeholders.
• Translating business priorities into a technical roadmap.
• Writing functional specifications for future releases in Confluence.
• Managing the creation of wireframes.
Qualifications:
• The Digital Product Manager should have 7+ years of experience developing consumer-facing digital products and a detailed understanding of the following:
• Web development processes and cycles.
• App development processes and cycles.
• Experience working with a distributed global team.
• A passion for pets and pet products is a bonus.
