European Supply Chain Manager

Our exclusive clients, a leader in veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturing are seeking a Supply Chain Manager on a 12 month contract to oversee the logistics and planning functions for their sites in Ireland and the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing local strategies to maximise customer satisfaction and on-time product delivery, while ensuring adherence to global supply chain policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Supply Chain Team
  • Develop policies and processes to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain
  • Manage both internal and external supply chains
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to sourcing and procurement
  • Review and develop the supply chain database
  • Ensure effective planning across manufacturing operations
  • Manage and plan warehouse resources and systems
  • Lead effective Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings
  • Ensure stocks are managed effectively and efficiently
  • Accurately report financial and operational performance
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Supply Chain expert or supervision position
  • Be based in either UK or Ireland
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Experience in procurement, setting T&C’s, SLA’s, negotiations
  • Supplier Relationship Management experience
  • Good knowledge of Demand Planning and forecasting
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP/CRP activities
  • Basic knowledge of Pharma Industry with knowledge of GMP standards desirable
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Maintaining a team player mentality and customer focus
