The responsibilities of the role include:

 

  • Carry out and provide Artificial Insemination services across a variety of dairy systems
  • Engage and build relationships with customers and provide advice and education where necessary
  • Heat detection in dairy cows using both the traditional chalk method and electronic heat detection systems
  • Accurately enter data into a central database and produce monthly fertility reports
  • Communicate effectively and openly with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Resilient and able to adapt to different situations as they arise

What are the requirements of the role?

  • Dairy sector knowledge and experience
  • Livestock handling skills
  • Artificial Insemination qualification, required 
  • Based in either Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire or Gloucestershire
  • Strong work ethic, a team-player and an eagerness to learn
  • Full driving license
