Ruminant Account Manager

Field based, covering; Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Cavan, Longford, Westmeath, Offaly, Meath, Louth, Monaghan

 

If you’re based in the Northern area of the Republic of Ireland and have a background related to dairy farming and/or large animal veterinary, as well as proven sales experience, then we have the ideal opportunity for you. We are recruiting on behalf of our exclusive client, a biotechnological pharmaceutical company, that is respected globally for its groundbreaking work on disease prevention through immunisation. Full product training will be provided, with ongoing support and guidance from the National Sales Manager and technical team.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve the sales objectives and carry out the allocated business plan within the territory, as agreed with the National Sales Manager. 

  • Identify opportunities for new business within the territory, while maintaining existing relationships with large animal veterinary specialists.

  • Keep up to date with full knowledge of the product and service portfolio, and influence the key decision-makers within the customer base on their benefits. 

  • Keep customer files on the company CRM system up to date, as well as prepare and submit required reports or documentation in a timely manner.

  • Organise, facilitate, and accompany visits of the technical or marketing support departments when requested.

  • Attendance at evening and weekend meetings will be occasionally required, as well as overnight stays for conferences, internal sales meetings, and customer CPD events throughout the year. 

 

Requirements:

  • Relevant sales experience.

  • Knowledge and experience of ruminant animals, especially dairy farming, and/or large animal veterinary is required.

  • Qualification in animal science is advantageous.

  • Full, valid driving licence.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland and travel for work purposes within the UK and EU.
  • Live within the territory counties include; Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Cavan, Longford, Westmeath, Offaly, Meath, Louth, Monaghan.
